The Style of “Kiss often, Disco Occasionally.”

What can we expect from summer of 2026?

I'm not sure how many of you readers have heard of the 70s, but it was a time of great political distress and aggravation. The hippies, aka the youngest generation, were protesting against the Vietnam War. No one was willing to die for a corrupt government. They skipped or protested the draft and hat did they do instead? They disco, did drugs, and tried to find peace in life. From this moment in time, we get the ideology of the hippie. Music was their only outlet.

How does this tie into the summer of 2026?

The United States just began a war with Iran and the majority of conservative countries in the Middle East. The U.S. citizens? Not willing to participate in this billionaire board game. After the Epstein files, the average American citizen feels so distant from this horrible administration that it is hard to live any part of their life without imagining what they might be supporting. That target keychain? Some billionaire. That flight you’re taking? Billionaire.

I’m going to be honest with you, as your trustworthy average American self-made journalist with a mini blog: People and the average human cannot handle this kind of information and outlook. It's depressing, rightfully so. The last time people felt even 1/3rd as much failed by the government as us was the Vietnam war and the hippies. People couldn’t handle it, so they turned to drugs, alcohol and dancing.

Should we expect the same thing from our summer?

Absolutely. I predicted this in January when I realized that our country was at a horrifying breaking point even BEFORE the entirety of the Epstein files and the war on Iran. People are so done that the only comfort they can find is in each other and the release that substances give us (aka disco).

This was further confirmed to me by the release of Harry Styles’s album “Kiss all the time, Disco Occasionally.” I’ll be honest with you, I’ve been following this one rather closely, probably because of how much I wish we could all dance and kiss again. If anything describes the emotions of a country or a nation, it's the fashion AND THE MUSIC. In his dedication, Harry Styles dedicated the album to his friends so that they could finally have something to dance to. Be so for real. When was the last time the dance/club scene was good in America?? Hello I’m SO tired of men standing there with their stupid drinks and just bobbing their heads. DANCE!!! Do the thing that humans have been doing since DAY 1 to express their emotions. No more bobbing heads. Take our hands or our hips and show us how you feel!

What else can we Americans do right now if not band together, Kiss often, and disco occasionally?
